The ISFCQI was applied to characterize the static foam properties of the unitary, binary and ternary foaming agents. The relationship between ISFCQI and foam flooding recovery was analyzed as well. The experimental results show that the ISFCQI can be used to characterize the four static foam performance parameters, such as foaming volume, foam stability, foam liquid carrying capacity, and foam liquid carrying stability. This has achieved a quick and quantitative evaluation of static foam performance by using one parameter. It is also found that the ISFCQI of the ternary foaming agent is greater than that of the binary foaming agent, and the ISFCQI of the binary foaming agent is greater than that of the unitary foaming agent.
