Rheological properties evaluation of Shengli crude oil under the condition of adding pour point depressant

Abstract:
Pour point depressants can be used to improve the rheology of waxy crude. The acrylate-acrylamide copolymers t PAA] were synthesized. The effect of pour point depressants on the ideological properties and the pour point depress mech- anism were investigated. The results show that pour point depressants can reduce the pour point and abnormal point of waxy crude, and broaden the temperature range of Newtonian fluid of waxy crude, lower the viscosity of non-Newtonian fluid of yfsxy crude greatly, while the pour point depressant has little effect on the viscosity at the temperature of Newtonian fluid. When temperature is above the abnormal point of crude,the high-rate shear has little effect on the modification effect of pour point depressants. Whereas, at a temperature range where 狂 lot of wax is precipitating, high-rate shear will greatly reduce the modification effect of pour point depressants. Pour point depressants can make the wax crystals become smaller, so the pour point and viscosity of crude can be depressed.
