Abstract:
Inversion techniques such as sparse pulse inversion, well-constrained seismic inversion, and geological lithology random simulating inversion were not very efficiently in exploration of the turbidity channel sandstone. Faces-controlling reservoir prediction was introduced on the basis of paleogeomorphology, high precision seismic data and exploratory development information ,to predict reservoir and evaluate lithologic traps in exploration of such kind of sandstone in Bonan subsag. The results show that in such a condition of monoclinal structure f with parallelism or low angle oblique crossing of structure isoline, fault trend line and oil-water boundary line as Es3 in Bonan sag, turbidity channel is a favorable face belt for exploration of hydrocarbon. Trapping and reservoiring conditions can change greatly even in different sites of the same channel sand body for the difference of fault closed characteristics, and thus can cause to form a special structure-iithologic trap of "sausage-cut" like.Oil may accumulate in downstructure location while water existing in structural high location in the traps,so fault sealing characteristics should be taken into account in exploring of the traps. Experiences of " orienting" , M searching source " , ” track-ingM , M comparing" were set up in exploration of the turbidity channel sandstone reservoir. Faces-controlling reservoir prediction has been proved to be an elective method for precise exploration in high maturity explored areas.
