Preparation of styrene-butadiene latex and evaluation of cement slurry performance

Abstract:
Using butadiene and styrene after joined the initiator,emulsifing agent and molecular weight regulator, styrene butadiene latex was prepared by polymerization under certain temperature. The structure performances were analyzed by X-ray diffractometer and potentiometric analyzer. The normal properties of slurry and strength of cement were tested in the laboratory. The results show that the slurry has properties of resisting high temperature,low fluid loss,little free liquid, thickening curve emerged right angle, short transition period, control gas channeling and excellent rheological performance. Good cement slurry performance and excellent well cementation effect are obtained.
