Analysis of productivity in unsteady state of vertical fractured horizontal well

Abstract:
According to Green function and Newman's product principle, the pressure drop function of the vertical fractured horizontal well in unsteady state was concluded, and a new reservoir model coupled with wellbore was developed. In order to solve this problem, a new method was given. The computational results for a practical example show that the productivity decreases as the time increasing, and the flow reaches pseudo-steady state after a long time. There exists the pressure drop along the wellbore. The friction has certain effect on production performance of fractured horizontal well. The length of horizontal wellbore also has effect on output and has an optimum range. The flow rate of each fracture is not equal,and the number of fractures has an optimum range.
