Absorption thermodynamics behavior of VO OEP on modified kaolinite

Abstract:
The absorption behaviors of VO OEP were researched using acid modified and supported Ni kaolinite as absorbents in cyclohexane. The absorption mechanism was investigated with thermodynamics. The results show that the absorption process follows the law of Langmuir, which indicates that the monolayer VO OEP is absorbed on modified kaolinite. The absorption of VO OEP is exothermic in nature and the absorption heat values exceed 40 kJ/mol, which illustrates that chemical bonds exist between VO OEP and modified kaolinite.
