Application of unique angle crossplotting technique to amplitude variation with offset attributes interpretation

Abstract:
Based on the angle crossplotting theory, pre stack AVO attributes were used to analyze M gas field in Sichuang. The results show that AVO angle crossplotting is better to differentiate anomaly from background data than conventional method, and the unique color coding method can quantitatively characterize distribution of fluid, which can greatly improve the ability of AVO interpretation. This technique can also be applied to crossplot post stack seismic attributes or well logging data, which provides a new way for seismic attributes optimization and geological interpretation.
