Optimal design of guide base 's center curve

Abstract:
A guide base is one of the key parts of underwater pipeline dry repair systems. In the process of a plug being pushed through the guide base into the pipe, a relatively small deformation of the plug is required to ensure the blocking effect of the plug and to maintain the underwater hyperbaric chamber 's dry environment. The curve fitting principle and structural characteristics for the guide base 's center curve were researched. The fitting parametric equations and optimal model based on geometric constraints were constructed and solved. The optimal design of the guide base was realized based on the smooth fitting center curve obtained.The results show that the guide base has ability of a plug to pass through it,which ensures to seal the pipe effectively.
