Numerical simulation on gas solid flow and coke burning in FCC regenerator

Abstract:
Based on the gas solid flow model, a model describing gas solid flow and coke burning reaction in regenerator, which includes the model of carbon burning and hydrogen burning reaction kinetics, was established. In the model, the influence of interphase heat transfer and mass transfer was considered. The commercial FCC regenerator was simulated using the model. The results show that the model has good predictability. The gas solid flow field, component mole fraction and temperature field are revealed in regenerator. The results agree well with the real data. The inner structure of regenerator is ignored, so the simulation result is affected.
