Abstract:
The physical model wave test on water intake structure for liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Shenzhen was carried out under the conditions of different water levels and irregular waves. The model scale was 1 : 36. 5. During the test, the stabilities of the water intake bucket and the first quadrate culvert and the enclosure structure were observed, and the original design scheme was optimized using the FL-NH motion measuring system to measure the water bucket head and quadrate culvert's displacement. The wave pressures of the water intake bucket and the first quadrate culvert were measured in this test. The wave forces suffered the water intake bucket and the first quadrate culvert were gotten. The test results show that the measured wave pressure and wave forces increase significantly with water level decreasing. The quantity of water has little influence on the stability of the water intake bucket and wave pressure, and the enclosure structure has a great impact on the wave pressure.
