Abstract:
Nano-Ti02 was synthesized via solid state reaction coupled with calcination or diluted acid treatment method respectively. The catalytic properties were investigated. The results show that the crystal phase is controlled by alkali quantity. The anatase titania was obtained at low OH'/Ti^ ratio and the mixture between anatase and brookite was shown at high OH /TiJ ratio. The phase transformation was controlled by nitric acid. The loading of silver results in the decrease of specific surface area. While the interaction between the titania and silver can inhibit the sintering of titania during the calcination process and decrease the reduction temperature of titania. Thus, the photocatalysis activity is dramatically increased.
