Abstract:
Multiple-point geostatistics and its principle and methods of building 3D distribution of core pore structure were presented. The 3D pore structure model was reconstructed using multiple-point geostatistical methods on the basis of 2D thin sections of Fontaineblean sandstone, and the accuracy of thiB method was evaluated by calculating local porosity distribution function and average percolation probability function in real 3D digital cores and the reconstructed digital cores. The results show that the characteristics of pore structures reconstructed by this method are similar to those of real 3D digital cores, and also have similar homogeneity and strong pore connectivity. Tlie reconstruction of 3D pore structure model can be used to charac-teiize the pore connectivity and homogeneity of the real core, but also can be used as the basis for simulation of other physical characteristics.
