Reservoirs sub-blocks data organization mode and rapid-display method

Abstract:
It needs a long time lo display a large reservoir by 3D visualization. By introducing the conoept of " sub-blocks data organization",the methods wtre designed for reservoir data segmentation and sub-blocks data organization. Combined with Open Inventor, the function of displaying single reservoir sub-block's evolution process was developed. By taking single reservoir sub-block as basic unit, the task of displaying one whole reservoir was divided into displaying some sub-blocks. The method for displaying reservoir in parallel was designed and realized. The two reservoirs' data of Shengli Oilfield and Jiangsu Oilfield were taken as displaying samples. The results show that it can obviously improve the efficiency of displaying large reservoir based on the technology of data volume segmentation,organizing data into sub-blocks and the parallel displaying.
