Its very difficult to distinguish hydrocarbon bearing reservoirs frcan water bearing reservoirs electrically because of the similar resistivity between them. Based on the typical low-resistivity (LR) oil layer of Jiyang depression and study of micro-geological causes, the geologic characteristics of LR oil layer with various micro-geological causes were analyzed, and the interaction between micro-geological causes and macrogeoiogic genesis was investigated. The results show that the fomung and distribution of LR oil layer are controlled by geofactors including depositional background, sedimentary facies, diagenesis, motive power of petroieum deposit and formation water. The LR oil layers caused by formation water with high salinity water are controlled by ancient salty deposition environment or faulted structure; those caused by high free water saturation are controlled by the low structure; those caused by high bound water saturation are controlled by deposition and diagenesis. Low resistivity pays resulting from the added conductivity of shales are controlled by the active blets of volcanos rich in rags and tuff, which leads to the aggregation of montmorillonite. Combination of micro-geological causes and macrogeologic genesis is more promising in recognition of LR oil layers. |
