Abstract:
A bioflocculant production mutant Eruerobacter sp. W16-C was screened by protoplast fusion-UV mutation, and its flocculation characteristics and influence factors were analyzed. The results show that the flocculation rate of mutant W16-C is increased by 13.91% compared with the original strain. The optimal substrates for mutant Enterobacter sp. W16-c are sucrose as carbon source, yeast extract as nitrogen source when pH = 5-9. Metal irons Fe2+ and Na+ could promote the bioflocculant production by mutant Enterobacter sp. W16-C. At optimal fermentation condition, the flocculation rate of mutant W16-c could reach as high as 96.2%. Hie main components of the mutant W16-c are polysaccharides. The mutEnt W16-c is a stable and efficient bioflocculant production bacterium.
