Abstract:
On the basis of the direct route method for design by analysis of the European Union standard of unfired pressure vessels design (EN13445-3), the gross plastic deformation design check(GPD-DC) of a subsea separator was studied. The numerical model of the subsea separator was built and verified by high-pressure expriments. The results show that the average relative error of simulation result is no more than 5%, which means the numerical model is accurate. The gross plastic deformation of subsea separator structure can pass the check. The subsea separator structure is safe enough.
