Abstract:
The pressure wave velocity is the key parameter to calculate the restart hydraulic process of pipelines. Therefore, a gelled crude oil ultrasonic testing device was designed and built, and the ultrasonic velocity of Shengli crude oil and its related parameters in the constant temperature static process and constant temperature during the shearing process under different temperatures were studied. The results show that in the static process under the constant temperature below the gelled point, the ultrasonic velocity of Shengli crude increases gradually with time and finally comes to a stable value. While in the constant temperature shearing process, the ultrasonic velocity decreases gradually with time and finally gets to a stable value. In conclusion, as the structure of the waxy crude oil gets stronger, the ultrasonic velocity becomes bigger, the signal voltage value becomes smaller, and the ultrasonic attenuation is more significant.
