Abstract:
According to the actual need of the deep profile controlling reservoir, the permeability limit of the soft microgel (SMG), matching relationship between its particles and core throat, the injection, migration and plugging performance have been studied, by means of apparatus detection and theoretical analysis. And the deep profile controlling was investigated further with the microscopic experiments. The results show that the permeability limitation can be predicted using the fitted curve equation between the core permeability limitation and mass fraction. When the mass fraction of SMG is 1% and the ratio of medium pore radius to particle radius is higher than 2.65, it meets the initial requirements of the reservoir transfer of SMG particles. From the microscopic level, it can be observed that the permeability resistance of big-size pore throats is increased through the blocking-breaking-blocking process of SMG particles flowing in the porous media. As a result, water can be diverted to the medium and small size pore throats and thus remaining oil can be replaced, which enlarges the sweeping volume.
