Abstract:
Based on the production of methyl acetate synthesis reaction, the steady-state and dynamic control model of the RDWC(Reactive dividing wall column) were built, and then the start-up process of empty column was simulated. In addition, the process route index (PRI) was used to evaluate the dynamic safety of the entire process. It is found that the dynamic behavior and dynamic safety of RDWC reach a stable operating state within 6 hours in this scheme. The dynamic responses show that the purity and flow rate of three product streams reach the setting value with the occurrence of the reaction. The temperatures of all stages gradually increase with the duty of the column, and finally it is consistent with the steady-state model. The dynamic safety changes show that the PRI value of all streams rises from 0 to 1.858, which reflects the safety state of the entire column is in an overall downward trend during the start-up process.
